Resources Needed To Set Up In-patient Care Unit for Eating Disorders in Local District

This is a heart wrenching account given by a father whose daugther is anorexic. He claimed that hugging her was like hugging a bag of bones.
His daugther clearly needs inpatient care as she needs to be monitored constantly. When no else is watching, she would be vomitting or exercising so that she can continue to lose weight and not gain anything from the meals that she has just eaten.
However, the in-patient unit that is in Palmerston North is going to close by end of the year. Being admitted to the local hospital is not a viable option as it has no particular specialists treating eating disorders.

On the same day of the movie debut of "Thin" about eating disorders, 21 year old Brazilian model Ana Carolina Reston died from an infection caused by renal issues related to Anorexia. At the time of her death she was 1.72m tall and 40 kilos which is 5′7′ and 88 pounds. Ana Carolina was a model for Ford, Elite, and L’Equipe.
From the various shots of her, you can tell that she was an attractive young woman. Her mother was inconsolable and wanted to everyone to know about the dangers of eating disoders.
