Been purging in the aftermath of the Christmas Dinner?

Tuesday, December 26th, 2006
While others are still opening their christmas presents, are you locked in the bathroom purging away what you have just eaten? You are doing this to ensure that you do not put on extra calories or pounds. Overwhelmed with shame of your uncontrollable eating and feasting on the hard-to-resist turkey, you decide to take on some measures of weight management. The festive period hardly sounds like a time that you enjoy. You find yourself wrought with shame, guilt and anxiety that someone may just find out about your odd behaviour. If you find yourself engaged in this behaviour, then so seek help.

Anorexia over Christmas

Friday, December 22nd, 2006
It must be particularly stressful for the anorexic to be celebrating Christmas. Afterall, christmas is a time where family dinners would be a huge feast laid out across the table. You do not particularly want to join in with the feasting. Yet everyone else at the dinner table will be busy chatting and tucking in away. Just looking at the turkey is enough to make you sweat. So you may force yourself to eat it, to avoid attention on your anorexic behaviour. Then, you think up ways to make sure that you vomit what you eat thereafter. If you find yourself obsessed with thoughts of how your Christmas dinner is going to affect your weight (when others are already telling you that you do look scrawny), then it is time to take a step back and ponder if what your loved ones say have a point. Seek medical help quickly.
